This Sesame Song reminds me of the song by the young Willow Smith, "Whip Your Hair" (link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymKLymvwD2U). Willow Smith celebrates her hair similar to that of the above Sesame Song with no shame for "whipping" it around. I am not sure if the video is intentionally focused on addressing the issue of African-American hair versus the typical ideal of "white" beauty (extending to European blonde or brunette, and straight hair), but in the video she whips her cornrows and afro around, spreading color across a bland, white canvas of people & walls.
